    Eligibility Criteria for NDA Exam

    Nationality:

    • Must be a citizen of India, or

    • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or

    • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, or

    • An Indian-origin person who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam) intending to settle permanently in India.

    Educational Qualification:

    • For Army Wing: Must have passed Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised board.

    • For Air Force and Naval Wings: Must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics.

    • Candidates appearing for their Class 12 exams can also apply.

    Age Limit:

    • Candidates must be between 16.5 to 19.5 years of age on the date of commencement of the course.

    Physical Standards:

    • Candidates must meet the prescribed physical fitness standards in terms of height, weight, vision and overall medical health as detailed in the official NDA notification.

    Eligibility Criteria For CDS Exam

    Nationality:

    • Must be a citizen of India, or

    • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or

    • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, or

    • For IMA and OTA: Graduate degree from a recognised university.

    • For INA: Engineering degree from a recognised university/institution.

    Age Limit:

    • IMA: 19–24 years

    • INA: 19–24 years

    • AFA: 20–24 years

    • OTA: 19–25 years

    Physical Standards:

    • Candidates must meet prescribed medical and physical fitness criteria including height, weight and vision standards as per CDS notification.

    • Candidates must be free from any medical condition that may interfere with military service.

    Services Selection Board Exam

    Physical Fitness Standards

    AFCAT Exam Eligibility

    Eligibility for AFCAT is based on Nationality, Educational Qualification, Age, and Physical Standards.

    Nationality:

    • Must be a citizen of India as per the Indian Citizenship Act, 1955.

    Educational Qualification:

    • Flying Branch: Graduation with at least 60% marks and Physics & Mathematics at 10+2 level OR BE/B.Tech degree.

    • Ground Duty (Technical): Graduation with minimum 60% marks in engineering/technical disciplines.

    • Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Graduation in any stream with minimum 60% marks.

    Age Limit:

    • Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years (with upper age limit of 26 years for candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot License).

    • Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years.

    Physical & Medical Standards

    Candidates must be physically and medically fit as per Indian Air Force standards.

    • Height: Minimum 162.5 cm (Flying), 157.5 cm (Ground Duty).

    • Vision: 6/6 in one eye, 6/9 in the other (correctable).

    • Fitness Tests: Running, push-ups, sit-ups, and other endurance activities.

    • Candidates must not have any permanent medical disability.
